The Christmas tree rug in signature design is a long waited-for addition to the damask collection. The octagonal Christmas tree rug with the iconic motif from the Christmas Tablecloth unites handicrafts, quality and nostalgia and celebrates the spirit of Christmas.
Bodil Bødtker-Næss, who was one the inner-circle of textile designers at Georg Jensen Damask in the 1970s, designed the motif. She was also responsible for the classic Easter design from the same period. The braided Christmas hearts and stylised spruce twigs have represented the quintessence of Christmas atmosphere for more than 40 years and the design is an essential part of Christmas in many Danish homes. The design for the Christmas tree rug is highlighted by the addition of a lovely star that is also part of the festive season.
The classic colour combination of Christmas red and gold has a special place in many people\u2019s hearts. The colour is original, dating back to the pattern\u2019s introduction in 1975, and in its beautiful simplicity it encapsulates the myriad traditions of Christmas.
The Christmas design is also available as tablecloth, placemat and table runner.
Wash & care
- Wash at 40°C.
- When washing coloured products, we recommend using a laundry detergent developed for coloured textiles and without bleach, to preserve the colours in the best way possible.
- For a smoother result, we recommend that you unfold the product completely before washing and avoid overfilling the machine. The product should be gently stretched after washing and hung to dry.
- We recommend ironing for a smooth and shiny look.
