The Norwegian designer Andreas Engesvik is behind the Engesvik design. The hand-drawn pattern was created in close collaboration with Georg Jensen Damask, and pays homage to the idea of a simple life. The lines are woven into the bed linen with a thread that is slightly lighter than the background colour, which is a complicated affair when the weave must imitate the uneven pressure of the pencil. The result is a pattern with a graphic delicacy and an inherent humanity – finding perfection in the imperfect.
