The striped Comet tea towel is woven from a blend of cotton and linen, offering optimal absorbency. The 1959 kitchen towel, with its durable cotton weave, can be used both as a hand towel and a tea towel.
The Comet tea towel and 1959 kitchen towel were originally designed by weaver and textile engineer Bent Georg Jensen, who led Georg Jensen Damask for many years. He upheld the craftsmanship of weaving and mastered the art of combining function and aesthetics.
Wash & care
- Wash at 60°C.
- When washing coloured products, we recommend using a laundry detergent developed for coloured textiles and without bleach, to preserve the colours in the best way possible.
- Before using the product for the first time, we recommend soaking it in cold water for about 24 hours. This will straighten out the fibres and ensure effective absorbency from the start.
- For a smoother result, unfold the product completely before soaking and washing and avoid overfilling the machine.
- The product can be tumble dried or hung to dry.
- We recommend ironing for a smooth and satiny look.
