Canvasbag

Part of the Banquet series, this elegant canvas bag features an embroidered motif of a knife and fork. In the time of King Christian IV, cutlery was a symbol of grace and sophistication. The bag is woven from 100% cotton, measures 50x27 cm and comes in the colour Misty Yellow.

The inspiration for the Banquet range was found in the Renaissance feast and a damask tablecloth from the textile collection at Rosenborg Castle. When King Christian IV invited guests to a feast at the castle 400 years ago, it called for a special tablecloth that could serve as the background to a memorable banquet. Georg Jensen Damask’s Banquet tablecloth is a modern interpretation of the iconic banquet tablecloth with an orderly jumble of knife, fork, fruit, fish, pheasant and confectionery motifs. The range also includes cloth napkins and tea towels.
