The striped Abild tea towel is a well-known design in the Georg Jensen Damask collection. Designed in 1991 by Bent Georg Jensen, the tea towel is woven in a thick linen and cotton blend for optimal drying properties. Bright Blue is a beautiful vivid shade of blue.
Designer and textile engineer Bent Georg Jensen made a virtue of combining quality with function and design and was the head of Georg Jensen Damask for many years. One of his best-known products is the Abild tea towel, which is woven in a blend of 50% linen and 50% cotton. The design is elegant both on its own and mixed with plain coloured tea towels or kitchen towels.
Wash & care
- Wash at 60°C.
- When washing coloured products, we recommend using a laundry detergent developed for coloured textiles and without bleach, to preserve the colours in the best way possible.
- Before using the product for the first time, we recommend soaking it in cold water for about 24 hours. This will straighten out the fibres and ensure effective absorbency from the start.
- For a smoother result, unfold the product completely before soaking and washing and avoid overfilling the machine.
- The product is recommended to be hung to dry.
- We recommend ironing for a smooth and satiny look.
